Take Your Business to the Next level!
 |
|
Hello. I hope you are getting through this nasty winter. I know I am counting the days until spring!
This month, I am not sending you a feature article. Instead, I am sharing with you an amazing video called Shine: The Entrepreneur's Journey. Shine is a 26-minute collaborative film project by Biznik co-founder Dan McComb and Ben Medina that explores what it takes to change the world one small business at a time. The film features interviews with select entrepreneurs around the country who share their stories. It also features professors and other business experts that share fascinating research about entrepreneurship.
I found the film inspiring, validating, funny, heartfelt, emotional and empowering! I hope it helps you think about what kind of entrepreneur you are and/or what kind of entrepreneur you want to be.
Meanwhile, if you haven't checked out Biznik yet, hop on over and do so. Biznik is an award-winning community of entrepreneurs and small businesses dedicated to helping each other succeed. I have a profile on Biznik and often publish business-related articles there. If you are a Biznik user too, let's connect.
If after watching Shine, you still want more inspiration on doing what you love for a living, check out this video from the New York State Bar Association called The Next Wave: A Panel of Lawyers Who Have Tapped Into Their Passion to Find Success in Other Careers, which was held live in NYC and as a webcast online. I was one of the 4 panelists and shared my story of leaving the practice of law to become an entrepreneur. My fellow panelists -- an executive career coach, a reporter/writer, and an attorney-turned-standup comedian -- had lots of good stories and advice for anybody contemplating a career change. So if you know anyone that is thinking of "jumping ship" and becoming an entrepreneur, or you just want some further inspiration a
nd validation of your own choice of and path to entrepreneurship, check it out.
Wishing you much business success (and warmer days soon!),
P.S. Welcome to the new subscribers. I am thrilled that you have decided to become a member of the Next Level Business Success online community!
