"Lisa is superb! I have watched many organizing shows on television and the organizers often force their clients into THEIR (the organizer's) working and thinking patterns, not the clients. Lisa has a system that determines how you work and think. She then helps you reorganize your office and develops an action plan that fits your working style, not hers. In addition, she does not make you throw out everything. She teaches you how to edit, so that you can maintain a system for good."

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Professional Organizer?

As defined by NAPO (the National Association of Professional
Organizers):

A professional organizer enhances the lives of clients by designing systems and processes using organizing principles and through transferring organizing skills. A professional organizer also educates the public on organizing solutions and the resulting benefits.

A professional organizer can take on many roles depending on the needs of the client. A professional organizer can provide hands-on organizing, consulting, coaching, publications, workshops, seminars and/or products to help individuals and businesses become organized and maintain a system of organization that best suits their needs.

What is a Certified Professional Organizer®?

A Certified Professional Organizer (CPO®) is a member of the organizing profession that has achieved the highest distinction possible by completing a rigorous course of study of organizing and related topics, and passing the inaugural CPO® examination administered in April 2007. Only a very small number of organizers in the profession have achieved this designation. Indeed, Lisa is the only CPO in Orange County, NY.

What is Certified Professional Organizer® Certification?

CPO® Certification is a voluntary, industry-led effort which benefits the public and members of the organizing profession. CPO® Certification recognizes those professionals who have met specific minimum qualifications and proven through examination and client interaction to possess the body of knowledge and experience required for certification. The program recognizes and raises industry standards, practices, and ethics. While the CPO® designation is not an endorsement or recommendation, certification of professional organizers maximizes the value received from the services provided and products recommended by a CPO®.

What are the benefits of using a Professional Organizer?

By using a professional organizer, an individual or business is taking the first step in creating a less stressful life and environment. A professional organizer can assist an individual or business in increasing productivity, and improving the home or work environment. Clients will have more time to reach goals, spend time with family, and improve health. Overall, an organizer can help individuals lead healthier, more balanced, happier lives.

Can a Professional Organizer provide life or business coaching to clients?

Yes. A professional organizer can assist clients in meeting personal and professional goals through one-on-one coaching sessions. Coaching is designed to assist individuals in creating and implementing specific action plans. Coaching is not psychological counseling; rather, the focus is goal oriented, resulting in improved quality of life. Many clients use coaching as a supplement to physical organizing.

Does LM Organizing Solutions, LLC offer complimentary telephone or on-site consultations?

Generally, Lisa conducts a half hour telephone consultation with a prospective client to assess the organizing problems and the reason for hiring a professional organizer. During this telephone consultation, Lisa will ask questions designed to gain a better understanding of the situation, needs and desires of the client. However, if a client is within a reasonable driving distance from Warwick, NY and Lisa feels it is necessary to first see the space or meet the client, a half hour complimentary on-site consultation will be arranged.
